About Stark County Sheriff’s Office

The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is a law enforcement agency that serves the people of Stark County, Illinois. The office is responsible for providing public safety and protection to the county’s citizens and visitors. The Sheriff’s Office operates both the patrol operations and criminal investigations divisions.

The patrol operations division is tasked with responding to 911 calls, patrolling areas of the county, enforcing traffic laws, conducting investigations, and assisting other law enforcement agencies in the area. The criminal investigations division investigates all reported crimes within the county as well as providing assistance to outside agencies.

The Sheriff’s Office also maintains an active presence in the community through its Citizen Outreach Program. This program educates residents on crime prevention and provides assistance to victims of crime in order to help them re-establish their lives after experiencing trauma or loss due to a crime.

Stark County Sheriff’s Office also provides services related to jails and corrections. It operates a main jail facility in downtown Toulon and two satellite facilities which are located at Magnolia Correctional Center and Kankakee Valley Correctional Center.
